Teddington

This role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to Langdon Park in Teddington. The Team Leader is pivotal to the success of our services in South London where we support our customers. Supporting the Registered Care Manager with day-to-day decisions and deputising in their absence.

As Team Leader at the service, you will lead the team in providing a high standard of care and support, working with adults who have complex needs, ranging from learning disabilities, autism, mental health illness and/or behaviours that may challenge. Providing an excellent level of customer service and ensuring that all regulatory and contractual commitments are met.

We expect the Team Leader to lead by example, supporting the Manager and developing the team to deliver the service to an outstanding rating.

What you will need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for working closely and supporting individuals with Learning Disability, autism and/or mental health issues would be advantageous.

As a Team Leader and senior member of staff you will be efficient, motivated, and organised; being able to work to deadlines and meet set objectives. You will demonstrate you understand what good support looks like which is appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion and sexuality of the customer to improve their quality of life and independence. You will need the following skills and experience to the role:

We are particularly keen to hear from those with any of the following additional skills: - Experience writing & reviewing care plans and risk assessments
- Experience of delivering personal care & support to vulnerable customers
- Knowledge of CQC regulations
- Some line management experience
- Effective staff management skills

- Previous Team Leader experience
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent
