An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role in the Councils Asset Management Team for an officer to Commission property services across our housing assets within High Peak.
Working as part of a busy team within the Asset Management Service, you would be responsible for ensuring the delivery of excellent repairs, maintenance and capital projects through collaborative working with the Council’s new joint venture partners, Alliance Norse Limited. Alliance Norse Limited are a newly formed “teckal” company jointly owned by the Council and the Norse Group, the UKs largest local authority trading company.
The successful applicant will deliver the day to day management of the contract, liaising with customers and stakeholders to ensure that Alliance Norse Ltd is meeting its key performance indicators and our ambitious service improvement plans are being delivered. The role will also involve the design and development of strategies and policies within asset management with regard to compliance with all relevant legislation and regulation across Council’s housing / residential properties.
Ideally the successful candidate will have proven experience of working in social housing and would be accustomed to using bespoke IT systems and Microsoft Office. Contract management skills and familiarity with joint ventures or outsourced property service arrangements would be helpful. Knowledge of effective property management and compliance activities, including reactive repair and planned maintenance activities, construction and capital investment construction projects is an essential criteria.
To be successful in the role you will be driven to delivery high quality services to service uses, be able to develop collaborative relationships with partner organisations and be able to deal with conflict.
We offer a great work life balance including flexible and agile working.
