Electrical Assistant Manager
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £37,200 - £39,243
The Vacancy
Full Time – 35 Hours per week, Mondays to Fridays

We are currently looking for an Electrical Assistant Manager to be responsible for the provision of a high-quality electrical repairs and empty homes service across the MSV stock. You will be responsible for leading, motivating and monitoring the electrical Property Care Repairs and Empty Homes team, ensuring effective support, guidance and training for staff is provided.
The successful candidate will have prior knowledge of housing a property care, with a familiarity with housing management systems with the ability to project manage. You will be able to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and work with different teams across the business to ensure that a customer friendly, value for money and completed to our high quality “first time right” ethos.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Being the key point of contact to coordinate and manage a comprehensive electrical Repairs and Empty Homes service across the housing stock that is cost effective, and customer focused

Support the Property Care Manager for Repairs and Empty Homes in ensuring that all regulatory, financial and audit requirements are prepared and implemented

Ensure that all relevant Health and Safety legislations are implements and complied with

Provide effect leadership, and lead, support and coach colleagues whilst ensuring appropriate training and qualifications are in place

Support the Property Care Manager for Repairs and Empty Homes with developing and implementing actions within the Property Care Operational Plan

Ensure that the use of resources relating to labour, fleet and materials is efficient and cost effective

Carry out post inspections on void and empty homes works to ensure quality and safety of work

Be the principle qualified supervisor for sign off of electrical certification

When needed, deputise for the Property Care Manager
We are looking for someone who has:
-
City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical installations
-
2391 Inspection and Testing
-
BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualified
-
Experience of leading and managing a multi discipline team with experience of working within a performance management framework

Experience of development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures in relation to the delivery of voids and planned investment projects

Knowledge of health and safety legislation / regulations
