We have an exciting position available for a Communications Manager to join our team!    

The Communications Manager at One Manchester is responsible for leading and managing the core corporate functions of the Communications team, ensuring high-quality output and consistency across all channels with internal and external stakeholders.   

  

Reporting to the Head of Communications, Marketing and Brand, the Communications Manager plays a crucial role in delivering communication projects, managing key corporate deliverables, and providing support in crisis communications.  

  

What we’re looking for:          

  • Degree level or management and leadership development qualification or evidenced experience  

  • A track record of leading, managing, and motivating professional teams, ideally within a similar sector  

  • Professional communications experience at a managerial level in an organisation/sector with a high public profile and a track record of advising at the most senior level  

  • Extensive experience of working with the media in a high-profile public sector/organisation, including up-to-date knowledge of social media and its integration with traditional media  

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality and innovative strategic communication campaigns and powerful storytelling communications, both internally and externally  

  • Proven ability to translate complex and sensitive information and communicate it effectively and appropriately to a range of audiences
