Join Our Team as an Accessibility and Special Projects Surveyor!

Grand Union Housing Group is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Accessibility and Special Projects Surveyor to join our team and lead the way in making homes and communities accessible for all.
What you’ll be doing

Overseeing the delivery of accessibility/special project works, issue contract variations, and attend site meetings.

Conducting surveys/inspections for properties where accessibility or special projects are planned.

Preparing specifications, schedules of works, and technical drawings for adaptations and improvements.

Developing and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in partner local authorities.

Applying for DFG funding for accessibility works, submit pre/planning applications, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies and legislation.

Managing the implementation of Health, Safety & Compliance policies and procedures, including CDM.

What we’re looking for
-
Excellent knowledge of building regulations.
-
Up to date knowledge of policy issues relating to construction, housing maintenance and accessibility.

Experience of procurement and contract management.
-
Experience of delivering Disabled Facilities Grants/Work.

Working knowledge of the provisions of JCT and other relevant forms of Building Contracts.

Ability to prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD
-
Experience of preparing and submitting planning / building control applications.
-
Sound financial management & budgeting experience.
-
A Degree or demonstrable equivalent experience, in a housing or construction discipline.
-
(OR Studying for CIOB / RICS professional qualification / equivalent in surveying/building discipline.)
