The council has a diverse portfolio of Commercial, Civic, School and Residential Buildings including High-rise Residential Blocks.
The role is for 2 Building Safety Managers, with responsibility for co-ordination and management of all matters relating to structural and fire safety in in-scope buildings to meet current and forthcoming legislative requirements, to deliver the regulatory requirements of the Building Safety and Fire Safety Acts to provide an efficient building safety service to Southampton City Council’s Higher Risk Buildings and ensure compliance with and implementing changes detailed in the building safety legislation.
To work with and assist the Fire Safety Lead in the development and implementation of the Building Safety Case and to ensued their effective maintenance and management post-implementation.
You will be proactive, self-motivated and well organised in your approach, as well as being flexible to the needs of the Council
Please note the salary quoted is based on full time hours (37 hours per week)
This is a permanent position.
