Asset Manager - Housing

Dunfermline - with Hybrid working

Starting Salary £41,822 per annum

Full Time, Permanent

35 hours per week

At Fife Housing Group, we develop and build sustainable communities, making it our priority to provide homes which help our tenants live the lives they choose.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager to join our team, helping us to make a difference by delivering positive impacts for our customers and communities. The role reports to the Director of Finance, Governance and Assets and offers the opportunity to get involved at all levels of the business, including the senior leadership team and Board.

The main objective for this key role is to ensure that our tenants live in safe, efficient and well-maintained homes.

To achieve this, you will plan a rolling five-year detailed programme of major component replacements and other cyclical works as well as managing and advising on key property-related compliance requirements.

In addition, you will support the development and acquisition of new housing stock, including the preparation of appropriate tender and contract documentation.

We are looking for an Asset Manager with a construction-related qualification (HNC or higher) or extensive experience in a similar role.

With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have experience of developing partnerships and the ability to build collaborative relationships with a range of community stakeholders. You will also have experience of overseeing multiple, complex contracts and a sound understanding of procurement methods, processes and legislation.

Experience of the strategic management of a stock condition survey is essential, in addition to an understanding of legislation covering areas such as legionella, asbestos, gas safety and electrical safety. Knowledge of social housing grant funding is also required for this role. An understanding of the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) guidance, the Scottish Housing Regulator Annual Return on the Charter (ARC) and the Scottish Housing Quality Standard would all be desirable.

Strong organisation and time management skills are a must, and you will also have a customer-focused approach with a drive to continuously improve services.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to hold a driving licence and have use of a car insured for business use.

In return, we can offer you:

  • A competitive salary

  • 32 days holiday + 8 public/general holidays

  • Pension scheme with employer contribution being double the employee contribution, to a maximum of 17%.

  • Group Income Protection

  • Death in service

  • Essential car user allowance

The full job description and person specification can be found in the ‘Documents’ section below.

If you feel you have the skills and experience required and would like to join a well-established organisation with a person-centred culture then we’d like to hear from you.

STRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASE.

All applicants are required to complete an online application form to help standardise the shortlisting and interview processes. Please note that CVs will not be accepted.

Fife Housing Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
