Senior Housing Options Officer

Salary: Starting salary between £35,000 up to £43,500 per annum depending on qualification level. Plus, essential user car allowance.

Location: Based at King’s Court Council Office

Employment type: Permanent

Hours Per Week: Full Time - 37 hours per week

If you have significant experience in a housing or related setting with the ability to manage a team of Housing Options Officers and would like to make a real difference to vulnerable people’s lives, we have the perfect opportunity for you…

With experience of working with the public, including vulnerable people, and a detailed knowledge of housing law, you will provide specialist support and guidance on housing law, statutory responsibilities and technical matters. You will provide high-quality housing advice and information to assist people in often complex and difficult situations to help prevent homelessness and to enable people to resolve their housing problems.

In return, if you would like to develop your skills and qualifications to achieve a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 5 Diploma in Housing and become a Member of the CIH you can achieve this through our supported progression scheme. If you have already achieved these, it will be reflected in the salary level. We can provide you with additional work-based training and pay your professional membership fees.

In addition, we offer performance related pay, a generous annual leave entitlement which includes an office closure between Christmas and New Year and membership of the local government pension scheme. If you need to move to the area, we also have a relocation package to help you.
