We're offering an exciting new opportunity for a Sustainability Engagement Manager to join our Sustainability Team on a permanent basis.

About the role

We'll look to you to be responsible for the communication of Clarion's sustainability strategy across the business internally and with wider supply chain, stakeholders and partners externally. You'll identify strong case studies (corporate projects and human-interest stories) that will be shared with communications functions and used to demonstrate the impact of our sustainability work and work to build relationships and increase capacity and knowledge within teams to ensure the delivery of the group sustainability strategy targets.

Some other key responsibilities will include:-

  • Working with Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) team to develop and roll out Clarion's suite of internal sustainability training
  • Owning the creation and management of an internal sustainability communications and engagement plan for the organisation (with sign off from internal and external comms teams), using key dates and milestones to increase engagement (e.g. annual COP conferences, Earth Day, etc).
  • Supporting the creation of communication aids which assist to display sustainability data and complex environmental or social concepts in an appropriate graphic, visual or written manner; tailoring this to the audience addressed
  • Establishing a network of key supply chain partner contacts, working with the Procurement team to identify ways to support supply chain partners and contractors to achieve our goals

About you

We're looking for a confident and organised self-starter with significant experience of working in sustainability or sustainability communications / engagement-related role that has involved partnering with a variety of different stakeholders internally and externally, to upskill, train, communicate and / or educate on key sustainability focus areas in simple, lay language to increase engagement. You'll need strong knowledge of key sustainability topics across environmental and social focus areas paired with knowledge of how sustainability topics need to be addressed by large organisations, preferably within the built environment.

This is a hybrid role with a base location at our offices in More London Place.

Applicants must be able to travel across the region as required.

Occasional travel may be required with attendance at your designated office base and occasional travel to other Clarion offices as and when required.
