Assistant Director Housing and Communities

Cobalt Housing is undergoing a period of ambitious transformation and change, as the organisation moves into a new phase of growth in the delivery of its Corporate Plan.  As Assistant Director of Housing and Communities, you will join a newly formed Senior Leadership Team and will play a fundamental role in helping Cobalt achieve our future ambitions. 

Reporting to our Executive Director of Communities and Regeneration, you will be an experienced strategic housing professional, and will lead our Neighbourhood and Partnership Teams. You will innovate and inspire colleagues, ensuring that our housing management, tenancy sustainment and community partnership teams successfully deliver Corporate Plan objectives. You will develop a modern, forward-thinking department that puts excellent customer service at the heart of everything it does.

You will play a key role in ensuring that the services we provide are tailored to the emerging needs of our customers, working closely with the Transformation team to improve the integrity of customer data and insight.  You will also lead on the longer term establishment of our Community Hub, which will provide a central place for the local community and partners to come together, bringing significant health and employment benefits to our neighbourhoods, and maximising our social value impact.

Cobalt’s standard working week is 35 hours Monday to Friday.  At Cobalt we work in an agile manner and you can expect to work both at home and in the office based on business needs and our commitment to enabling staff to work flexibly.
