Operations Director

£78,000 + benefits

Hornsey, London (flexible working arrangements)

Are you ready to take on an exciting new challenge?

We are seeking an experienced and tenant focused senior manager to join us as our Operations Director.

Who are we

Hornsey Housing Trust (HHT) is a small but ambitious organisation which celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2023. Established in the 1930s by the notable social reformer Margaret Hill, we retain our founding principles to provide good housing for people on low incomes. We manage 394 homes, focusing on housing older people in Hornsey and the wider Haringey area, a rapidly increasing demographic. We are proud of our legacy, and keen to find new ways to fulfil it as we move towards our centenary.

Why you should join us

This newly created role sits at the heart of our business and offers a unique opportunity to lead and empower our operations team in the delivery of a range of high-quality housing and tenant services, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and serving as a key member of our small leadership team, you will bring a proven track record in asset management, compliance, and investment. Your experience will come from a senior leadership position within the housing sector, encompassing financial, risk, and regulatory knowledge.

Your strategic vision and inspirational leadership will be key in driving enhanced collaboration, efficiency and excellence across all aspects of our operations, including housing management services, asset management, investment, building safety compliance, property maintenance (including our in-house repairs service), and the support for, and involvement of, our tenants.

The ideal candidate will embody our values, demonstrate a fully inclusive approach, and maintain a strong tenant-focused mindset.

If you are motivated by challenging deadlines and targets, excel at building exceptional partnerships, and are flexible and responsive to change, this role could be the perfect fit for you.  To find out more please visit our retained consultant’s website www.hilarychanningassociates.co.uk/vacancies to review the Candidate brief.
