Assistant Director of Housing Services

Job Description

As a charitable housing association, we’ve been providing affordable homes and support for thousands of people across north Kent and Medway for more than 30 years.

We’re more than just a landlord. We work closely with local authorities, partner agencies and residents to create safe, thriving communities where people want to live.

We’re looking for a senior housing professional to help us deliver our ambitious new strategy, leading a large team to provide exceptional customer services that meet people’s diverse needs and expectations.

You will help us deliver excellence across our portfolio of 10,000 homes. You’ll need a laser focus on performance standards, ensuring customer voices are heard and acted on, as well as excellent knowledge of housing law and practice.

With responsibility for housing management, home ownership, market rent and supported housing, you’ll take a lead role in helping to shape our services and make a positive difference to the lives of our customers and neighbourhoods.

With a proven track record of senior leadership in the housing sector, you’ll be skilled at developing high performing teams, encouraging a positive culture and upholding organisational values.

This is an exciting time to join mhs homes as we strive to transform our business model and strengthen our commitment to providing safe and sustainable homes and communities where people can live well.

In return, we offer a competitive salary with excellent benefits, including:

  • 33 days’ annual leave entitlement (in addition to Bank Holidays)
  • Discretionary annual bonus (currently up to 10% of basic salary)
  • Private healthcare
  • Life Assurance
  • Group Personal Pension Scheme (personal contributions matched up to 6%)
  • Free parking
  • Access to two holiday homes (in Dorset and Norfolk)
  • Flexible benefits scheme (including the opportunity to buy / sell a week’s worth of holiday entitlement per annum)
  • Enhanced family leave policies
