As a key member of the Housing Leadership Team, you will provide expert professional and technical advice on relevant policies, guidance and legislation relating to the governance and regulatory compliance of our social housing services.
You will lead 4 sub teams: Specialist Contract Managers overseeing the statutory compliance of the council’s owned housing stock, Neighbourhood Caretakers that ensure our neighbourhoods are well maintained, Clerk of Works that oversee high value contracts and a compliance admin function. All of which focus heavily on safety and compliance in line with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards.
You must be adept at managing risks, with the ability to bring a strategic view to emerging risks whilst providing leadership and clear direction to risk management and mitigation.
You must have extensive knowledge of the Regulatory Compliance Framework, contract management and experience of undertaking research and producing policies/strategies.
To hold a relevant Level 6 qualification is an essential requirement of this role, as is good people management skills and financial/budget management skills.
