About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Skilled Labourer to join our Empty Homes Team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Skilled Labourer you will assist qualified trades personnel to carry out remedial works to a high quality, ensuring that a customer focused maintenance repairs service is delivered. You will be working independently covering Greater Manchester, Stockport, Buxton, and the surrounding areas. A van & a mobile device will be provided.

What we're looking for
We're a customer-focused organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You'll ideally have previous experience supporting multi-skilled operatives as a Labourer, have great time management and customer service skills, with a willingness to learn and gain additional trade skills.

Essential experience:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Proven ability to carry out minor remedial building works to a competent standard such as (but not limited to) clearance & cleaning, painting & decorating, and minor groundworks.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to operate safely having considered any environmental circumstances and possible risks including working at height(s).
  • Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable experience and qualifications:

  • Health and Safety Knowledge.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Experience of working within the social housing sector
  • Experience of cleaning and clearing homes
  • Level II NVQ or relevant experience
  • PASMA

Your Welcome Bonus is payable in 2 parts. £500 is paid in your first month's salary and £500 is paid when you pass your probation. To be eligible for the Welcome Bonus you must be an external applicant and not currently employed by The Guinness Partnership.
