Hyde is looking to recruit an Assistant Building Surveyor.

As an Assistant Building Surveyor at Hyde, you will be working within the Property Services team to assist with the specification, issue, supervision, and monitoring of property repairs related maintenance, gaining practical surveying experience over the course of a year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the specification, issue, supervision, and monitoring of property repairs related maintenance.
• Monitor, supervise, and control the repairs service under the direction of the Team Lead, ensuring compliance with contracts or service level agreements.
• Attend inspections, taking photos, and listening to customers' concerns; use your qualification knowledge to assess property conditions and identify necessary repairs.
• Provide technical reports, appraisals, measurements, costings, and estimates, seeking support as necessary.
• Attend meetings with third-party groups, including customer forums and committees.
• Update documents to reflect changes to the repairs service under guidance.

Skills and Experience Required

• Relevant surveying qualification.
• Ability to work under the direction of the Team Lead to monitor and control repair services.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and third-party groups.
• Proficiency in providing technical reports, appraisals, and costings.
• Capability to issue warning/default notices and enforce liquidated damages with support as required.
