Chief Executive – Ocean Housing Group Ltd
Location: St Austell
Salary: £165,794 plus car allowance, bonus and benefits
Our vision is to be an innovative provider of quality homes and services, with residents and staff at the heart of Ocean, and Ocean at the heart of the community.
We put residents at the centre of everything we do, aiming to provide high quality services, right first time. Furthermore, since our establishment in 2000, we are proud to have invested over £450 million in the county through community involvement, property development, jobs and apprenticeships. Ocean Housing Group has two active subsidiary companies: Ocean Housing Ltd and Gilbert & Goode. Ocean Housing Ltd is a charitable registered housing provider and owns and manages 4,900 homes, and as a Group, we’re committed to making a real contribution to Cornwall’s housing shortage. That’s where Gilbert & Goode come in. Gilbert & Goode is one of the South West’s leading residential housebuilding businesses, creating inspiring homes and great places to live. As a Group we plan to deliver 1000 new, energy-efficient homes of all tenures by 2030.
Operating as One Ocean, we seek a Group Chief Executive equipped to grow Gilbert & Goode whilst ensuring Ocean Housing Ltd is thriving, resilient and fit for the future. Commercially astute yet highly community-focused, you will be an excellent communicator who can articulate our vision to colleagues, partners, and residents, connecting with and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders. Our new Group Chief Executive will appreciate that we are a people-led organisation and incredibly proud of our culture. Senior leadership experience gained across housing and development is going to be necessary.
Ocean is committed to creating a culture of inclusivity and belonging. As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we run a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled applicants. If you meet the essential criteria listed in the person description for this position and would like to be considered under this scheme, please state this in your application.
As part of GatenbySanderson’s process we require candidates to complete a 1.5 minute video answering, why do you want to be the CEO of Ocean. Candidates will be sent a link once they apply via our MyInterview portal where they can complete this.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 3rd October 2024 (9am)
