Right now, we are in the midst of an ambitious transformation programme within our Housing Service – reimagining how we deliver services to support a better customer experience and adapting to meet the requirements of new legislation. With around 12,000 council homes which have 47,000 people living in them, the Council’s housing provision is an essential factor in the success and vibrancy of our community. Getting it right matters. The Council recently received a good C2 rating for its Housing Service, after being one of the first councils in the country to be inspected by the Social Housing Regulator.

In addition to the management of our housing assets, you will also have responsibility for the management of the Council’s corporate assets, taking the lead as part of our strategic asset review to align our portfolio to commercial opportunities, our wider regeneration & housing growth plans, and initiatives to support the Council’s long-term financial planning.
