We are looking for a Head of Data and Statistics to join us at the Regulator of Social Housing, managing a team of dedicated data professionals.

Since the 1st April our remit has been  extended  giving us additional powers and responsibilities around the importance of safe, decent homes for social housing tenants and of social housing landlords being transparent and accountable to their tenants.  As a result, this is a great time to join us and help us shape the organisation.

When you join us, you’ll be joining an organisation that gives you the opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives.

Job Description:
As the Head of Data and Statistics you will ensure that the regulator’s data collection requirements are delivered effectively and will be responsible for identifying future requirements, developing systems and innovative new approaches to support the regulator’s requirements, ensuring accurate and timely collection of business-critical data.  You will also be a source of expertise, providing advice and guidance on complex data and analytical issues.

You will provide effective leadership to the Data Team, supporting and developing the team and will manage key relationships with external providers.  You will also produce and oversee analysis and publications and ensure that requirements are met.

Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate you will have significant experience of providing statistical analysis, as well as experience of delivering high quality research and analysis, including analysing data, interpreting quantitative evidence and communicating your findings.  You will have strong management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate your team.
