Falcon Housing Association is a national, not-for-profit, registered provider of social housing to vulnerable adults throughout England and Wales. It is a growing organisation managing 212 properties across the North, Midlands, Southwest, and Southeast, providing homes for 792 tenants and a turnover of £22.6 million.  As we continue to evolve, we are continually committed to putting our tenants at the heart of everything we do, ensuring respect, dignity, and support for equality and diversity.

In response to challenges such as rising energy costs, we are focused on making our homes more energy-efficient, with a target of achieving this by 2030. Our 2024-2027 business strategy aims to deliver continuous improvement by reviewing all services and service charges, enhancing our housing management system, and adopting new methods to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our repairs service. We also plan to increase occupancy rates to 95%, transform underperforming properties, and reduce operational costs to ensure a better future for both tenants and the organisation.

As part of our Board’s succession plan, we are now seeking to appoint two motivated individuals to the Board who will bring extensive executive-level social housing finance experience and senior housing management expertise.

These are exciting opportunities to join a great team that is leading an ambitious organisation. In addition to the relevant professional expertise, we are looking for individuals who have experience of working in a customer focused organisation and can demonstrate knowledge of governance and regulation at a senior level. Most importantly we want you to share our interest and passion for the care and support sector.

Falcon Housing Association is committed to supporting and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels and as such, we are keen to attract a wide range of qualified candidates to this role and would particularly welcome applications from women and individuals from black and minority ethnic backgrounds. We also welcome applications from first time NEDs.

Board meetings are held quarterly, during the day on the last Wednesday of the month, mostly face-to-face and in London.
