Assistant Director of Repairs and Compliance
Client: Haringey Council
Salary: Grade £112,203 to £130,185 per annum (HB1)
Duration: Permanent
Greenacre are delighted to be working with Haringey Council to assist in their recruitment opportunity to become a Permanent AD of Repairs and Compliance.
This is an exciting time to join a forward-thinking council in a role that is crucial for shaping service delivery for our residents both now and for the future.
The last few years have seen incredible and unforeseen challenges for our residents, but Haringey is on the move, using our experience to build a better environment for our communities. We’re tackling head-on the crisis of affordability, homelessness, and housing standards. The administration’s priorities include an emphasis on ‘people power’, a major plank of which is the Haringey Deal.
We are focussed on finding new and more meaningful ways of engaging people in democracy and society more generally. The manifesto also includes pledges around sustainability, supporting our most vulnerable residents, building new housing, and a refreshed approach to place making and place shaping.
Haringey are looking for a proven senior leader to work across the authority and beyond to deliver an ambitious transformative programme for our repairs and compliance services. You will be part of a brilliant and supportive team who work together to deliver our housing and corporate objectives.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to our residents’ lives. You will be responsible for ensuring we meet our regulatory and statutory requirements against the big six areas of compliance across 15,000 tenanted properties and 5000 leasehold properties.
You will build on the significant progress we have made in resident safety improvements over the last eighteen months, delivering against our Gas, electrical, FRA, lifts, water and legionella and asbestos targets and ensuring our residents are safe in their homes and our buildings are safe. You will be a leader with a proven track record of service improvement in this area.
You will be leading on transforming our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) into one that is best in class. You will have significant and extensive experience in manging change in a repairs service with the ability to make impact in delivering the repairs improvement plan. A calm and collected leader who can build credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
