We’re looking for a Director of Housing Services to lead or Housing Services teams. This is a pivotal leadership role, essential to delivering our strategic goal of Excellence Through Customer-Influenced Services and the Customer First Agenda

About the role and person:

  • Permanent

As our Director of Housing Services, you’ll lead the future development of our housing services to ensure a seamless, responsive, and cost-effective experience for all Accent customers. Your leadership will ensure that our customers not only receive the very best services but also actively shape how those services are delivered. Your role will ensure that we deliver the right services to existing and future customers.

Salary

The salary for this position is circa £100,000 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post.

This post will also receive a £5,000 car allowance.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be our Director of Housing Services?

  • Significant experience or qualification in relation to Housing Management or associated Customer Services.
  •  At least 5 year’s leadership and management experience, with responsibility for managing teams in the delivery of customer services preferably housing related
  •  Excellent leadership and motivational skills to create a high-performance team culture
  • Able to convert corporate strategy objectives into deliverable targets / objectives for the team and team members
  •  A proven track record of delivering high quality services to customers
  •  Commitment to customer consultation and engagement for real influence on service delivery
  • A passion for making sure that all our customers are included; economically, financially, and digitally
  •  Excellent understanding of performance data and analytics
  •  Strong commercial acumen and proven experience of managing contracts effectively
  •  Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  •  Strong judgement and decision-making skills to the benefits of all stakeholders
  •  Numeracy and literacy skills essential. IT literacy, confident in use of MS Office applications as well as the ability to use company operational software

Location

The successful candidate will be required to travel to all our sites around the country.

We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs.

We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
