About the role
We are recruiting a Finance Manager - Assets to join the Guinness team. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy which is based in our Oldham office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.
The Guinness Partnership Group owns almost 70,000 housing units, with a combined book value of over £4 billion. The Fixed Assets accounting team therefore forms a key part of the Finance directorate.
The main purpose of this role is to manage the Fixed Assets team, ensuring accurate, transparent, compliant and timely accounting for all fixed assets of the Group.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate
Essential:
- Proven experience of leading fixed asset accounting in a complex business including liaising with external audit and producing technical reports for management as appropriate.
- Experience of preparing fixed asset and grant information for consolidated Financial Statements including audit liaison and application of accounting standards.
- Proven experience of managing a team or function.
- Experience of explaining complex principles and processes.
- Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
- Experience of using Oracle Financials or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Leadership and Management Standard.
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of current financial reporting standards and their application within the Social Housing sector.
- Experience of delivering continuous improvement projects.
- Experience of accounting in the Social Housing sector.
Essential Qualifications:
- CCAB or CIMA qualified.
