We’re a lively, innovative and growing social business, providing more than 10,000 homes, and neighbourhood services for 20,000 customers covering a patch stretching from Derbyshire to West Northamptonshire. Our vision is ‘Providing quality homes and services for better futures’.
We are focused on improving the lives of our customers and have recently launched our new corporate plan CP24+ which sets out our vision for what we want to achieve in the coming three years and beyond. This includes building 1,000 homes and investing £125m in our existing homes. We have over 300 committed colleagues and are proud holders of Platinum Investors in People accreditation.
As part of the Board’s succession plan we are now seeking to appoint an exceptional Chair of Audit & Risk Committee who will also join our co-terminous Group Board.
We are seeking a qualified accountant, with a strong financial background and previous experience on an Audit & Risk Committee to lead the committee and ensure the risks of the Group are managed as we continue to grow and expand our services to our customers. In addition we are seeking:
- Extensive executive finance or business management experience in the public or commercial sector;
- Recent experience of audit and risk function
- Experience of working within a highly regulated sector and knowledge of corporate governance or housing sector
Whilst previous experience of being a Chair of a board or committee is not essential, it would be desirable. Most importantly we are seeking an individual who can commit to our values and shares our aspirations for our customers.
Time commitment for role will be between 2-3 days a month. Meetings are predominantly face-to-face and held at our offices in Castle Donington, Leicestershire.
Remuneration is £13,622 per annum with reasonable expenses.
We are committed to retaining a diverse board, reflective of the communities we serve, comprised of people who bring a broad mix of different skills and perspectives. We are keen to attract applicants from the broadest possible range of backgrounds.
