We're looking for an experienced Customer Accounts Specialist to join our lovely Home Ownership team on a permanent basis. If you thrive in a customer-focused environment and pride yourself on providing the highest level of customer service, this could be the perfect role for you!
The Customer Accounts Specialists play a vital role in delivering the Group's income management services and policies, with a heartfelt commitment to maximising the collection of rent and service charges while compassionately minimising the financial strain that our customers may face. In this position, you'll oversee the entire income collection and arrears process within a designated area.
Your responsibilities include closely monitoring housing debt and guiding our customers through the recovery journey until a resolution is reached. We understand that financial circumstances can be challenging, so it is essential to approach each case with empathy and care. By following established policies and procedures, you'll work diligently to implement appropriate recovery actions, aiming to reduce both the level of arrears and the stress our customers experience, all while striving to meet our annual targets.
Customer service is key in this role, and we'd love to hear from you if you have a strong track record in delivering high-quality service and first-rate communication skills. You need to be able to adapt well and be confident in dealing with difficult situations. You'll present cases to court so need excellent written and verbal communication skills and you should be comfortable with report writing. Ideally, you'll have experience in customer account management and debt recovery working for a housing provider or similar.
In terms of experience, a housing background is essential along with GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent and proficiency in MS Office packages. You'll need to be able to travel extensively in order to attend court.
If this sounds like an opportunity for you, we look forward to hearing from you.
