What will your role be?

As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction to Avela Homes Service, taking collective responsibility, and advising the Board and Executive Leadership Team on strategy and policy development.

You will lead on best practice ensuring that a high quality, customer-focussed repairs and maintenance service is delivered to all SLH tenants. Taking responsibility for strategic planning and operational management you will ensure that all works are delivered efficiently, safely and in compliance with regulatory standards. With a focus on driving performance and innovation, you will play a key role in maintaining our homes to the highest standard, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to our commitment to providing good quality housing that our tenants are proud to call home.

What skills and experience will you have?

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing operational repairs and maintenance teams, preferably within the housing sector. You will have a proven track record of leading teams, managing budgets and delivering services that meet or exceed performance targets.

Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, compliance requirements and asset management is essential. You will be an excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

A relevant professional qualification and experience with procurement and contractor management would be highly advantageous.
