Guinness Property is expanding our team in the South West and we are looking for a Voids & Repairs Inspector to join our team covering Guinness homes in Swindon and surrounding areas. This is a full time, permanent vacancy, working 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Candidates must live within 25 miles of Exeter to be able to reach all the locations in a timely manner. 

What we’re looking for

We are a customer-focussed organisation, so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will not only be experienced in carrying out detailed property inspections, you will also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You will also be able to demonstrate the below essential skills and experience:

  • Up to date knowledge of building construction, repairs, and safety legislation.
  • Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation. 
  • Experience of repairs and Empty Homes management information systems.
  • Experience of delivering a high-quality service. 
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. 
  • Excellent knowledge of Schedule of Rates job specification.
  • Experience of recording data accurately onto handheld devices.
  • Extensive knowledge of building maintenance technical operations.
  • A full, current driving licence

Essential Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the required trade.
