Housing association / RP

At Metropolitan Thames Valley we believe everyone should have a home and the chance to live well. We own and manage more than 57,000 homes, provide a significant amount of social housing, and deliver a wide range of social care and support services.

Our Safeguarding and Care Quality Panel is an Executive led Panel, providing assurance to our main board on all safeguarding related activity, and care and support delivery. The panel is made up of four independent members, as well as a member of the main MTVH board, and MTVH colleagues.

We are looking for one new independent member to join the Panel from early 2024, for an initial three-year term, extendable by a further three.

You will be an experienced leader in health and/or social care, bringing particular knowledge and expertise in the delivery of care regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and the operating environment for such services. Ideally, you will also have experience in managing change in these services – for example large scale closure or transfer of services.

We are particularly keen to hear from those with experience providing services for people with learning disabilities or complex mental health challenges. And we would welcome applications from candidates with or without prior board or committee experience.

We are committed to challenging how things are done, both in the organisation and in the sector; we like looking for different approaches, and aren't afraid to try things that haven't been tested - and we want our Independent Members to share that ethos.

Please note :- we do not currently offer visa sponsorship.
